
Universal’s “Trolls Band Together” has reclaimed the top spot at the U.K. and Ireland box office from stablemate “Five Nights At Freddy’s.”
In its third weekend, “Trolls Band Together” collected £1.8 million ($2.2 million) for a total of £12.7 million ($15.7 million). In the process it won back the pole position it had ceded to Universal’s “Five Nights At Freddy’s,” which in its second weekend took in £1.2 million in second place for a total of £8.7 million.
In third position, Paramount’s “Killers of the Flower Moon,” directed by Martin Scorsese, earned £1.1 million in third place for a total of £7.7 million. In fourth place, in its fourth weekend, Trafalgar Releasing’s concert film “Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour” sang to the tune of a further £970,005 for a total of £11.6 million.

Rounding off the top five was Paramount’s “Paw Patrol: The Mighty Movie,” which collected £536,134 in its fourth weekend for a total of £7.1 million.

The only debut in the top 10 over the past weekend was Warner Bros.’ “Bottoms” with £226,585 in seventh place.
Coming up, Thursday sees the release of two music-based films. Piece Of Magic Entertainment’s “Peter Doherty: Stranger In My Own Skin” captures the musician at his best amid floods of creativity, but also at his worst as he tumbled further into drug addiction. Lightbulb’s “Welcome to the Darkness” follows British glam rockers The Darkness who took the world by storm with their hit single “I Believe In A Thing Called Love.” At the height of their fame, the band split up and fell into obscurity. Twenty years on, they tell their story.
The wide releases on the Friday are Disney’s “The Marvels” and Entertainment Film Distributors’ “Dream Scenario,” starring Nicolas Cage. Picturehouse Entertainment is opening Justine Triet’s Cannes Palm d’Or winner “Anatomy of a Fall,” while Sovereign is bowing post WWII thriller “A Forgotten Man.”
Speciality distributor Trinity CineAsia is releasing “My Heavenly City,” three interconnected stories about the ordinary lives of Taiwanese people living in New York City, while Miracle/Dazzler is opening horror “The Jester.”
Among documentaries, Dogwoof is releasing Sundance winner “The Eternal Memory” and Tull Stories “Seaside Special.”
On Sunday, November 12, the day of India’s biggest festival Diwali, Yash Raj Films is opening “Tiger 3,” the latest film in the Bollywood spy universe, headlined by Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif.
