Foodies have been sent into a spin after discovering what flavour Haribo's green gummy bears are as the meaning behind the brand's name is also revealed.
Candy lovers noticed the gummy bear packet says the green flavour is supposed to be strawberry and not apple or lime like many thought.
Haribo have also explained the name comes from an acronym of the founder's name and the city in which he was born.
Hans Riegel, who established Haribo in 1920, is from Bonn in Germany which is just south of Cologne and is also known as the birthplace of composer Beethoven.
